Yay for new lamps for my living room!

Now it’s time to scout out new curtains/window coverings and area rug. By the way, never iron something on top of your area rug…it will melt! (I had to learn the hard way.)

Fun Times

I came across this photo last night and it brought a huge smile to my face. It was taken in February when we went with a group of friends to see a local band play.

This photo is ironic in so many ways:

1 – Look at all the empty beer bottles…neither Darren or I drink

2 – Darren was reading the newspaper in the bar before the photo was taken

3 – Apparently I’m holding another guys hand

4 – How often do you see a guy-on-guy kiss?   

Motorcycle Time

I love my new motorcycle jacket!!! I also purchased a new helmet over the weekend. I’m set to hit the road!

I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite shots from the photo shoot over the weekend. These were taken on the spur of the moment, before A Thousand Shields played a gig. No planning ahead, no scouting out a location…but overall, not too bad.

Three Month Update

I have not fallen off the face of the earth…but it is time for a quick update. Life is been CRAZY since March. Here's a quick list to bring you guys up-to-date:

-          Darren is still playing in two rock bands (Thirteen20 & A Thousand Shields)…there’s something every weekend

-          My workout routine has been slightly modified (but I’m back up two hours, three times a week)

-          I went to Boston on a business trip

-          Headed north to Maine for a few days

-          Bought a new motorcycle jacket

-          Did a band photo shoot last weekend

-          Still doing graphic design free lancing…currently wrapping up a catalog

-          Repainted our outdoor wicker furniture (it’s going to become trash after this season)

-          Power washed our deck…hope to re-stain it over the weekend

-          Planted some new bushes in the backyard

-          Considering going back to school

-          Bought a new bicycle… I take it everywhere, even the grocery store

-          Ran into an old high school friend, who has six kids now (wow!)

-          I’m in love with Twitter!!!

-          Took a bus trip to the casino with the old, retired folks…had an awesome time.
